They didn’t like you that much to begin with
One of the hardest things about leaving a narcissist is enduring the smear campaign. Sometimes they start when you’re still together; sometimes, they wait until you break up. And it doesn’t matter if they broke up with you or if you left them. They will still slander your name to anyone who will listen.
